pros:1. magnificent ambience with live music but quite loud cant talk w friends2. interior is superb3. tasty food with reasonable price for fine dining. we finish every single bitcons:1. service extremely slow. main dish only came after 35 minutes. better to inform upfront as customers might be in hurry and/or hungry2. we requested additional cutleries set but only came after 3 attempts

Very nice ambience. Good location with a big plaza. Nice food with very reasonable price. Good for both locals and foreigners.

The nice cafe using an old building, located in the center of Jakarta old town. The ambience is really good. The view from the 2nd floor is the best. The interior is a mixed between Indonesian traditional (using Batik, etc) with vintage decorations. Toilets are clean and nice. Food and coffee are good, but very pricey. The portions are small. But it is a good place to relax after enjoying the very hot and crowded old town.

Questions & Answers

Iyala wasteful of place

I'm from the UK. Yes it is expensive but it was on my to do list and I did it. The atmosphere is great. You are paying for the location.

Yes, but no-one play it...!

Should sit in 4 people place no problem ... what place is full ...?

Once I have a stage for acr live music sis

If you want to find your fill, don't go here. This cafe is suitable for hanging out and spending money.

IDR 1,500,000 / pax

So, this Cafe/Restaurant is a standalone building, located on the righthand side of the Post Office, face to face with the front facade of the Fatahillah Museum, overlooking the Fatahillah square, at the direction of 10 o' clock from the front of the Wayang/Puppet Museum. So no, it is not inside Omni Hotel or any building. If you arrive at Fatahillah Square, look for the building with a green canopy in front of it that has the writing "Cafe Batavia". If that doesn't tell you where is it, then I suggest for you to ask the locals, they'll happily point you to the right directions...
